| I went to Criterion Cellular's website and found a grid advertize for 1900 band. The 2.4 GHz was a nightmare to order. After a few days I gave up. This place had the cables and connectors on the order in 5 minutes on the phone. I haven't received it yet. I will let you know how it does. |

Looks like less antenna (18 dBi instead of ~ 23 dBi) for more money ($89 instead of $50) and made of no better constructed than the larger grid antenna I reported on in another thread but I bet it will work just fine. Make sure you mount it vertically rather than horizontally as they show it on their website.

| I mounted it the way they show it in the picture. The signal is not all that good. I will have to get up there on the roof and change it. |

| We just added 5 foot to the mast. I changed the orientation to vertical. We found the strongest signal not from the closest tower but the exact opposite direction. I am now downloading at close to T1 speeds. My latency is down. I am really happy with it. |

Sounds like you are doing good with the new antenna setup. Your experience points out how important it is to try all directions to find the best EVDO signal when using a directional antenna. Could you post before and after signal strength readings using the directional antenna? |
