Is there any router in the market that will work with Alltel Huawei EC360?
I have two different answers. A tech from Alltel said no, but this tech "whiz," who's a friend of a friend, said there're couple routers that are compatible, but can't get a straight answer to get the model from the "Whiz."
Any knowledge on this is much appreciated. |

None of the EVDO routers offered by the 3GStore, owners of this forum, currently support the Huawei cards. Here's the link to the compatibility chart they have for all their routers: http://www.evdoinfo.com/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,115/
Probably since they are so new to the market and only being offered by Alltel so far. I don't know of any other EVDO routers than the ones offered by 3GStore either. Good luck. |

concur with jack. we know of no router that works with that card.
if you are still in some trial period, try to get your hands on a KPC680, then order a CradlePoint CTR350 from 3gstore.com |

Check out the Kyrocera KR2 Compatibility list kyocerawireless.com/kr2-router/pdf/kr2_compatibility_matrix.pdf. I found that the Huawei EC360 card works with the KR2 through Alltel. As a matter of fact, it is just about the only card that works for Alltel customers with the KR2.
Hope this helped............ |

| Alltel has a new router out that's supposed to work with the EC360 as well as all it's aircards, including PCMCIA, Express, and USB. You might want to check with them. |

Jack who? |
yeah. that was pretty stupid.
not only was it not jack, the router charts that i maintain clearly list the EC360 as compatible with KR2
sometimes i wonder about me. |

I guess we'll forgive you seeing as the KR2 shipped in March and you originally answered that question in December (or was your ESP on the fritz?). But yeah, don't know how you got dave and jack confused -- no wonder bigdave hasn't been around much lately.
So the next question -- when will Cradlepoint be adding support for the EC228? Seems like most of the folks who have one like it a lot. |

volume helps here |

I picked up this card today (Alltel Huawei EC360), and so far it's working fine with a Top Global MB6000 (firmware 1.1.30-4)
I did have to activate it first via windows, a search on the net I found the default user / password used.
Was using this router with a PX-500 from sprint, if this works out this will be my sprint replacement. Alltell store gave me a great deal on the card. |

| You'll have to check with the Alltel rep since I can't post the router name on this forum. I have't tried it so I don't have first hand knowledge of it's workability or compatablity with various cards, but Alltel claims it works with all of their air cards. |
