|
|
Hello, I'm trying to configure a TopGlobal MB6800 to enable connections originating outside the router's local network to inside. I can connect from inside the local network (i.e. from a router client) to outside so there seems to be a working connection. Also I can access the web configuration interface from a router client.
That's good. However, I have not succeeded in making a connection in the other direction. (1) I tried configuring the MB6800 to listen on port 8080 for external connections to the web configuration interface (there is a check box somewhere for that). But when I try to connect from outside via the address which seems to be the external address of the router (166.129.xxx.xxx vs 172.16.0.1 internal address), I get no response. (2) In the web configuration interface, I tried to enable port forwarding to pass SSH and HTTP to a router client. But when I try to access those ports via the external ip address of the router, I get no response.
If anyone has some ideas, I would be very grateful.
best

| Did you ever get this resolved? I am having the same problem. I called 3G tech and they said that the wireless provider was most likely blocking ports. Well I confirmed that they are not, so I am no closer to getting this resolved. Basically, the port forwarding function does not seem to work for me on the MB6800. I am using an AC875 with AT&T service. I know this is an EVDO forum, but I did buy MB6800 from the 3G Store. Any ideas from anyone out there would be most appreciated. Thanks. |

I'm having exactly the same problem. I have the 1.3 firmware (1.4 beta version was seriously unstable with my AC595 card) and no matter what port I "forward" it doesn't seem to work. DMZ works, but not individual ports.
Anyone have a solution? I did *not* buy from 3gStore. |
