I'm looking for the best router for my EX720 data card for working from home. I will be directly connected to my workstation via ethernet, and using a Nortel VPN. It appears to me the MB6800 is my best choice. Any thoughts? Thanks _________________ John |

i dunno about that. i really like the CTR350 better than MB6800.
primarily for its software/firmware. WiPipe rocks.

it does, and its currently only for use as a WAN (input) port.
if enough people ask cradlepoint nicely, they will work on a way to allow that ethernet port to be both WAN or LAN, via admin setting.
send your email with request/explanation to suggestions@cradlepoint.com |

That's fine to ask for changes, but I need a router with LAN now. I can't wait to see if cradlepoint will make changes. Looks like the MB6800 is gonna be my choice. _________________ John |

OP,
From looking at the specs on all the routers listed on this site, it appears that the Top Global routers are the only devices that support open standards (UMTS), thus TMobile and AT&T. All the other routers seem to be confined exclusively to proprietary networks (Sprint, VZ, Alltel). So in that sense, Top Global is your best choice if you want some degree of future proofing and flexibility. |

I've owned an MB6800 for about four months now and find it works extremely well with my Sprint EX720. It is important to keep up to date with the firmware updates (I've updated twice since I got it) because they improve its reliability and add new features with each release (so far)...
If you have any specific questions perhaps I can help.
