Sprint EVDO for Mac OS X

Does anyone know how to get a Sprint EVDO card to work on a Powerbook running Mac OS X? The card is the Sierra Aircard 580

Yes, I've done it and it works. You have to activate the card on Windows first though.

Has anyone been able to find a Sprint store or Radio Shack store that will activate and set up a connection card at the time of purchase for Mac users who don't have access to a Windows based laptop?

I am looking for some way to get a card set up within reasonable driving distance of San Francisco.

Any other suggestions for getting a card initialized without borrowing a Windows laptop?
