tz1 pointed out I posted my request for help on the wrong forum, so I'm moving it here.

On a new install of a KR1, I'm unable to get internet access on either my desktop or wireless client. I've gone through the install wizard three times and the wireless connection looks to be working OK, but no internet. I've gone through the KR1 troubleshooting guide and the D-Link support site guide "Router Online, Client Cannot Access Internet" and not found the problem.

Here's the situation:

- I'm using a Sprint Pantech PX-500 card. The card has been activated and I've been using it in both my desktop (have a PC card slot) and my laptop. Both are Dells running XP.
- The router is connected to the desktop via an ethernet cable to LAN Port 1.
- When powered up, all the following indicator lights on the KR1 are green: Power, Status, WAN, and LAN Port 1. The WLAN blinks a steady green.
- The green LED on the PX-500 flashes green, just as it does when inserted directly in my computer and online.
- All firewalls have been disabled.
- No WEP or WPA-PSK security has been enabled
- The network connections on both computers indicate good connections to the router.

- The Status Page on the KR1 shows
- Firmware version RK1011
LAN
- IP Address 192.168.0.1
- Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
- DHCP Server Enabled
WAN
- Connection PANTECH-PX500
- Signal Strength (maximum - 10 bars)
- IP Address 68.24.137.106
- Subnet Mask 255.255.255.255
- Gateway 68.28.185.69
WIRELESS
- SSID KR1
- Channel 1 (auto select)
- Security Disabled

Any and all suggestions on how to resolve this would be appreciated. Thanks!

tz1, thanks for your response. Looks like both your post and my reply to you got deleted. Going from memory...

I live in a rural area and the KR1 is the only router/network in the vicinity.

When I tried pinging the IP address I got no response, timed out. I can ping the router address.

Sorry, that's all I recall of your questions/suggestions. Still not working.

Is the wireless LAN enabled on the KR1? There's some kind of issue between the KR1 802.11 wireless, and the Pantech 500/5750 card. When the 802.11 is enabled, the EVDO connection is dropped.

Have you gone to your command prompt and tried pinging a website vs pinging its IP address?
