This is a problem I haven't run into before, since my husband and I each have our own evdo card. But his is broken, and while we're waiting for a new one to arrive, we have attempted (and sometimes succeeded for a few minutes) sharing through my macbook pro and his macbook. We, of course, have airport cards.
The first time we tried, it went up, and we shared the connection for several hours. After that, it was hit or miss for a while, and he couldn't stay connected for more than a few minutes, and now we cannot even get his computer to get on the iterernet. Period. When we reversed use of the ex720, with him using the usb adapter and me attempting to connect up through his connection, it also doesn't work. Many times, the name of the network with show up, we'll check it, but then the person without the card cannot get online. Internet sharing is on, network preferences are set up, etc. And then the network disappears when one of us uses either computer, even though the network has not be used!!
The next time we try, we have to create a new network, but its the same story. After we have a brand new network name, the old ones show up as choices, but not till then.
We are going nuts. I have searched through the forums, but cannot find this problem. Can someone either point me to a link help us figure out what is missing here? We would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Barbara |

Barbara,
If you want a rock solid solution, you can use this this router.
We have a bunch of macs around, so we will give it a try to see it it works. We have used sharing with Tiger, just haven't had a chance to try Leopard yet. We will and let you know! _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

Hi, Michael:
As I said, normally we have no problem with our own cards. You guys have been so helpful with Sprint. Supposedly they are sending a new card out to you to activate, and then we'll get it overnight from you. So in general we have no use for a router. We used the Linksys until we each got our own cards.
Any other info would be great, though.
Thanks, as always, for your prompt help.
