I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 1501 and am now interested in buy a wirless internet card for the machine. Alltell is offering me the following cards to choose from:
Franklin 550 (USB card)
Huawei (Standard PCMCIA slot card)
UT Starcom 5750 (Standard PCMCIA slot card)
Kyocera 680 (Express card with adapter for a standard PCMCIA slot)
Any advice would be much appreciated, for I'm not sure which card I should purchase.

The Dell 1501 has an ExpressCard slot, so you can't use the Huaweu or Starcom.
The CDU550 is ancient Rev-0 technology, has no jack for external antenna, and does not work with any router.
Your best choice is the KPC680. no contest. |
