Verizon recently updated their online coverage mapping application and now allows users to enter street addresses, as well as drag map around for much quicker and easier research of their EVDO BroadBandAccess coverage.
Check it out at:

A much needed upgrade! The old Verizon coverage map tool was very limited. |

The new coverage map doesn't work with Firefox/2.0.0.9, or at least my copy of it. I get the first map (national view), but zooming in or entering an address displays an empty map. Entering an address does show a pushpin for the address, and the nearest Verizon tower, but still no map.
I have Flashblock installed, but flash apps give me a "play" button to click to enable them. I don't see such a button....

| Verizon has a lot of work to do in Virginia. There is virtually no EVDO coverage around the Blue Ridge Parkway area. I couldn't believe it when I was driving through. |

Interesting. The screenshot I did was taken using FF2.0.0.7 on a Mac.
I guess I'll have to be careful before going to 2.0.0.9 since i practically live in coverage maps. |

The Verizon Coverage Locator works ok on my XP/sp2/PC/Firefox2.0.0.9. I don't use Flashblock, many people report problems with it.
How did you get the Verizon towers to display, they don't show on my map? |

My bad, the Verizon logo was for a Verizon store, not a tower. The apparent location of it was near a VZ tower.
Wierd, I went back on to the locator map and now it's working. I've got the same setup as you, except my XP is XP Home.
Odd...

My copy of Firefox 2.0.0.9 doesn't want to work either. (W2k SP4)
I can get the main map, change to Broadband & V Cast, but two things are missing. One is the ability to use the search by address.
The other is that the map legend is blank.
I just tried IE and the legend fills in.
I can use search, too. |
