I am looking for a way to mate my Sprint PC5740 and my Verizon Built-In WWAN EVDO on my Lenovo T60.
I remember that right before the death of dial-up modems, they had some mating software that would mate two 56k modems together, not using Multilink PPP, MidPoint had a software like this, and if you Google modem bonding or modem mating you will find many articles from stone-age (90s) talking about it.
I tried to use Wingate and Windows Dial-up networking but none of them worked properly.
My two cards work really fine, the Sprint being slightly faster than the Verizon.
So, my question is: Does anyone knows any software that can do the packet routing in windows so we can create the mating between the two WWAN links?
Any input will be really appreciated.

I was trowling a Linux forum once and a couple of people were tossing around the idea of creating such a piece of software themselves, but I don't think anything came out of it.

I've also seen some vaporware hardware devices banded about - but no solid proof.

Good luck on it - and please post for all if you find a workable piece of software. My feeling is that you shouldn't get your hopes up though!

We have been talking with different vendors about this over the last few months and most is vaporware.

We did have a vendor contact us today to say that they have bonding working, we will know more over the coming weeks and will have lots more to say about it in the near future.

Being a network guy, I don't think this would work without the use of multilink PPP (something I doubt any EVDO carrier is willing to offer). With multilink you have a virtual interface with the physical interfaces bound to a multilink group. The world sees you as the IP of the virtual interface and does not know about the real interfaces. Of course this has to be configured on both sides (your side and the ISP's side). Now you could probably load balance outbound connections. This would allow you to benefit if you have multiple users behind your Linux router, but you would never see speed increases on a single connection (i.e. two radios downloading the same file). There are plenty of articles out there on load balancing among multiple ISP's via Linux and iptables.
