I ordered one of these from the 3G Store along with an Aircard 595 for sprint. I live in a fringe area and was wondering if the built in webserver has a menu screen that shows your signal strength? I really need this for accurate pointing/placement of the antenna.

I'm assuming you dont even install the sprint software like you would if the card was directly connected to the PC?

Hello,

Thanks for your order! Looks like it should be shipping to you tomorrow.

To answer your question. No Router offers accurate signal strength indicator compared to the RSSI or dBM reading that you get from a Connection Manager.

That said, some routers try to give some feedback on signal, BUT we have found it not to be a very good measure for positioning the router/card for the "best location". Your best bet is still to use a laptop that you can use with the connection manager to read the exact signal.

Thanks for the quick reply Michael. The problem is, I dont have a laptop. This is for desktop PC's only. I was able to call in last night and remove the router from my order and change the card to the 595U. Once I have determined I can get service (or not), I'll purchase something to share the connection.

Thanks again,
