| Hi , I was wondering if a 1900hhz antenna would be benificial to me over the trucker antenna that I am using.... I have a wilson amp and the trucker antenna mounted on the roof of my house...I usually have a steady -95 to -100 dbi signal....latly though my signal has fallen off for some reason ....this seems odd to me since the leaves are falling off the trees....last winter I had low -90 signal and it seems that Ive lost the signal some how........I was just curious if the WILSON 301124 1900 MHz YAGI CELLULAR ANTENNA would increase my signal strength and reduce packet loss....thats been an issue latly too, the packet loss...I used to not have any packet loss but for some reason the last two weeks or so I have seen signifigant increase in my packet loss....My downloads went from between 400 to 500 down to about 150kbs...uploads are still good and Im not sure why...also I am connecting on the rev-a speed so its mainly just my sigal strength and I was hoping to hear that the yagi will give me a little more dbi boost than the trucker antenna I bought from the 3gstore... thanks for any answers that anyone can give me .... |

| I would think the YAGI antenna could give you a better signal than the trucker antenna if you set it up right. You will need to take some time to aim the YAGI correctly for the strongest signal. Also watch out for how you seal up the cable connections that will be exposed to the weather. A little moisture in a connector can create a bad connection and reduce the signal. |
