I ordered my Novatel v740 card from 3gstore.com yesterday afternoon, and it shipped before I left work for the day. I received the card today, put it in my laptop, activated it using the Apple WWAN software, and now I'm posting the message using the card. Using speedtest.net, the speed is 1542 up and 540 down. I'm just outside Washington D.C.

One question:
Can anyone help me decipher the Apple WWAN menu? Like what does "3G, 1x RTT, EVDO" mean in the menu? And what's the deal with that triangle? Also, if I turn logging on, where does Apple WWAN dump the log information?

Thanks
Dave

Glad that is working well!

Look on the CD that 3Gstore includes, there is a PDF that completely explains everything you ever wanted to know about the Apple WWAN drivers.

BTW, those are very good speeds, be sure to post them on http://EVDOmaps.com

Michael,

Thanks for getting back to me. Looks like I somehow misplaced the CD. Any chance you can shoot me that WWAN guide in an e-mail?

Thanks
Dave

Sure,

send an email to support at 3gstore dot com and include:

your full name
email address
and if you have it (3Gstore Invoice Number)

Ask for the Mac WWAN PDF Guide

We will send you the PDF.
