I was wondering if anybody could get EVDO service of any kind in Lake Cormorant, MS (38641)? Have had wildblue for about 2 years, but I just cant take the slow speeds any longer paying 80 bucks a month for so called highspeed. Sad

if this is in the wrong section I am sorry please move to the right one.

Thanks

It looks like you should get EVDO Rev. A. Have a look at Sprint's coverage map at http://coverage.sprintpcs.com/IMPACT.jsp?PCode=vanity:coverage and enter your address or just zoom into your neighborhood for a street level look at coverage.

Note the "3G store" at the top of this forum. Talk to Michael and Alex at the 3g store as they will give you good advice as I believe they offer the 30 day trial offered by Sprint and you can evaluate the service for yourself. The unlimited data service is $59.99 a month and worth every it if you live where you can get "fast service" I get about 1250 kbps download and 12 % of that on upload.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/191865743.png will give you my up/load/download speeds.

If I'm not mistaken, you may even be in the Cellular South EVDO area. I think their EVDO currently covers Mississippi State (Starkville), Memphis, Jackson, and the Gulf Coast.

I'm in Southern Miss and I can get EVDO via Alltel.
