Hello everyone
I have a Verzion PC5750 REV A. Ive tried KR1 Router with the Rk1010 Frimware and no luck ( just recently read kyocera thread that states the frimware does not support that card)
So i just bought a Linksys WRT54G3G-ST router because i heard of the succeus people had with this combo through here. I installed the 2.00.9 firmware. Still no luck. I was going to try the Openwrt to see if that works but i need the revert firmware just incase nothing works and i can return the router to the store if needed. The link posted in that forum is dead. Anybody have any suggestions or can recommend a combo that would work?? I really need a solution soon because i only have 15 more days before im stuck to a 2 year contract. This may be in the wrong forum. if it is i apologize. please help |

Just a reminder since a lot of newbies make a common mistake...
you NEED to operate the PC5750 in a laptop using Verizon Access Manager,
and confirm that you are able to surf the internet with your card/account,
BEFORE you can successfully operate your card in any router. |

| You might want to try moving the router to a different location in the house. It didn't take to multiple computers, monitors, printers, etc. in the same room. I was having problems connecting and that was the solution for me. By the way, I'm still using 2.00.9 firmware. |

A PC with a PCMCIA to PCI adapter will convert your PC to a laptop for this purpose and cost about $20.00. The advice above should be in caps and a foot high<G>
Remember the adapter to PCI should fit the card you are using but since I own an S720 I mistakenly assume that all cards are PCMCIA<G>
Ford
S720, the usual Linksys wireless router and unlimited Sprint data near Tulsa OK 1200-1300 down with about 130 up. |
