EVDO Connect problem with RAZR

I've got a new RAZR V3m. It shows EV and a full signal on powerup. I'm tethering it to my laptop using the Alltel Data connection kit (Quicklink Mobile). Despite the phone showing EV and a full signal it never connects at EVDO speeds. Could this be a problem with the phone or the tower? Is there any way to force EVDO only connections on the RAZR?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of speeds are you getting? The speed varies a lot.

you must have right profile to authenticate EVDO. make sure to check with alltel tech support .
