When I bought my PC 5750 (Monday) and installed it, I couldn't get connected to the internet. I thought it was because I couldn't get a signal. So I brought it to work with me on Tuesday where I do get a strong signal but still couldn't get it connected. I only had a few minutes during lunch to play around with it, but I printed out some instructions and possible solutions to take home with me lastnight that I found searching the internet. Nothing works.

I've uninstalled Quick Link Mobile and the card and started all over numerous times. I've rebooted, done modem troubleshooting, downloaded a new driver from the Alltel website and still get the same error. There's no error number, and sometimes it says "remote computer is out of order".

Does this sound like a computer problem or an Alltel problem? Should I call Alltel? If so, how do I get in touch with someone who knows something, not just a sales person?

Thanks for any help. I am a clueless newbie here who wishes everything wasn't so dang complicated......

I think someone posted a direct number to Data Tech Support somewhere here in the forums. I usually just dial regular support. I immediately tell them I am having problems with my "Air Card" and I need to talk to "Data Tech Support". They usually will just verify my info and immediately transfer me. I am guessing my wait time averages about 30 minutes, but the guys in Data Tech Support at least have a clue.

Yay! Paul at Alltel Tech Support helped me out. They still had my old usb card listed in my account, so this card wasn't activated! I wondered if there was something else the girl at One Stop Cellular was supposed to do.......... They haven't been trained on these cards yet.

Yay! What a relief that it was nothing major and I'm sooooo glad I didn't have to talk to someone in India!
