|
|
I knew I shouldn't have but I did it anyway.
I had the OpenWRT firmware working well. Then I thought I'd get creative, then I got impatient. During a retro install of the original Linksys firmware (from OpenWRT) I thought it was complete and restarted (unplugged) the router...only to find that the firmware had indeed NOT fully installed.
So now I have a non-responsive router with the power light blinking.
Can anyone guide me through some shock therapy to get this thing going again. Or am I going to have to barf up $250 more for another router.
TIA,
STC |

One of our techs was working on a tech note / process to unbrick the LinkSys WRT54G3G-ST routers. I am not sure if it is completed.
You can email support at 3Gstore.com for more info. _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

RangerW's link is the same link I used to fix mine. I had to use the TFTP process and just be patient.
Interesting I was doing the same thing by mucking around with OpenWRT and blew it up. The supposed failsafe mode in RC .9 didn't seem to help save me. |

FANTASTIC! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The TFTP instructions via linux worked great.
FWIW, I had all but given up on this router after trying NUMEROUS times to use TFTP previously on windows. I had real doubts about it working this time - but whadda you know - Ubuntu Linux wins again - even from the command line!!!. |

| After seeing this I think I will try to play around with the WRT54G3G-AT and see if I can get the Sierra 881 working on openWRT. Thanks! |
