By simply adding ethernet access to the internal network rather than just the public side, this device becomes a business best seller.
As a failover device for WAN connections, we could sell dozens of these to each WAN client we have. The price of one of these routers plus the service is so low it would be an impulse buy for most companies. (Who would be buying one for each WAN link they need to be redundant)
To be honest, the public side RJ45 is not needed for most configurations and I'm stumped as to why it was released this way. But it can't be too difficult to release a firmware update that allows internal RJ45 functionality. |

1) Active Ethernet port so we don't need to use WiFi
2) External antenna port for WiFi for those of us who chose to use it. An external antenna is very important for those who use the cradlepoint as a emergency hot spot for disaster response
3) RSSI level readout so we can move the unit around for best reception of the cell site.
4) Allow the use of POE on the ethernet port if and when that get's taken care of. POE with along with a WiFi Antenna port and a waterproof inclosure would allow us to mount it on the top of a portable tower during emergency use. |

| Yes, please bug Cradlepoint for us for a firmware upgrade to use the RJ-45 on the LAN side! It would be so much more useful this way. It bugs me to have to use wifi to get from the router to my ethernet converter/switch, on the next shelf down (about one foot away). Also, wired ethernet, if feasible, is much more secure than wireless. I love my Cradlepoint router, but I feel like it's forced a security hole in my network (and yes, I do use WPA security. Plus MAC filtering). |

I would like to see a ctr 350 with a can opener and a miniature color TV attached. If this was Japan, it would already exist.
Okay, how about this instead: I was wondering if the ctr 350 could support one of the more popular blue tooth usb adapers. Would it be easier for them to write a driver for such an adapter rather than engineer it into the unit?
