Hi,
i just got sprint EV-DO internet today and i came home and at home i only get 1xrtt and i get about 2 bars with that i got in my car and started testing and no more then 1/2 mile down the road i get a EV-DO connection with a -80 signal with a 799k download so i am looking into antennas in order to get EV_DO at my house. i am debating between the
Omni External Antenna ($82.95) from 3gstore.com
and the
Booster Antenna ($57.95) from 3gstore.com
will either of these antenna get me a decent EV-DO singal ar am i just wasting my time
and if neighter of these will do you guys have suggestion on another option
Thanks Mike
P.S. i am using the sierra Wireless Aircard 595u usb card also i know that the VA-DO is somewhat line of sight and where i like there are mountians and some trees but it is not like i live in the rainforest. (i live in socal it is all desert lol jk) |

| because of terrain, if you are only concerned with signal at your house, i would get the omni antenna and mount above roofline. |

I could only get 1x untill I got the Wilson Antenna w/built in ground plane. I simply put it on top of the entertainment center on an inside wall, leaning up against a speaker. Wala, EVDO and speeds up to 1.1 Meg.
Be careful about going up high with the antenna. The gain of the antenna is very quickly eaten up by the length of the cable. You can easily end up going negative gain infact so try the antenna with the attached 12' cable plus the adapter cable if needed. Hopefully you will be pleasantly supprised as I was.
