EVDO is perfect for me

When you use the computer a lot like me, 56k absolutely sucks.

Then I found out about EVDO. It was all very confusing to me. I frankly just didn't understand what all I needed. This is where EVDOforums came in. They explained how it works and what I needed to buy to get hooked up to my desktop PC.

I decided to buy it from 3Gstore. I had them activate my card for me and upgrade the router to the latest firmware. They did all the work.

I got my package and promptly hooked it all up without reading the instructions. AND IT WORKED RIGHT AWAY. Impatience FTW!

I'm getting rev A speeds and so far I have had no service problems. The free antenna they gave me seems to work great, but I haven't tried it without it.

Its even fast enough to play some online games (like CS:S). My ping is a little high (~ 200) but the throughput is excellent. I just tested at speedtest and got 1100 down and 150 up.

My advice for anyone reading this and considering EVDO - first check to see if you have EVDO coverage in your area. Sprint has great coverage in rural areas like mine. Then, order from 3gstore. They will set it all up for you.
