I just got my KR1 and Sprint S720 that I ordered from you guys. Plugged it in and it worked right away!

Quick question and I wasn't sure if I should put it here or in the Sprint forums but:

Can I use the Sprint PCS Connection Manager software with my setup? I tried and it tells me to insert card. Since the card is in the KR1, I assume it cannot talk to it. Is this correct?

I ask because I want to make sure I'm using evdo rev A instead of rev 0 ot the 1xrtt or whatever thing. Also just want to check all the settings anyway.

When I log into the router and check the signal strength, it usually shows between 5 and 8 bars out of 10.

When I tried speedtest, my max speeds are 700 down, 110 up.

Thanks and sorry for the noob post but I didn't see where this was asked before.

Hi!

The only time the Sprint Connection Manager (or any other connection manager) will "see" the card, is when it is plugged directly into your computer. When a card is plugged directly in a router, you no longer can use the "Connection Manager" and instead connect via wireless or a wired connection to the router.

The "signals" you see in the KR1 admin area isn't a very accurate way to "see' your signal strength and it is not really a true representation on how strong or weak your signal is. The only way to really see it, is to plug your device into your computer and launch the connection software.
