Tweaking Using Sierra AC595 In Dlink-450 Router

Hi,
I have two questions I'm hoping somebody can help to answer.

1) I see that there are many different modifications to tweak your broadband card. How can I take advantage of these tweaks beings my card is in a router? Would I take the card out, make the modifications (assuming they get saved to some sort of flash memory) and put the card back into the router? As far as I can tell there are no options to change the card settings within the router.

2) Anybody here manage to get an Xbox360 to connect to a Dlink DIR-450 router? I can't seem to get past the connection verification when its running the test to see if it can connect to Xbox live. It says connected but just won't go past the second "wireless connection" chingas. And yes I've done port forwarding and dedicated an address to the Xbox - no dice. Would be nice if the admin here would add support for this router in the forum. Thanks in advance!!!
