How often are new EVDO Routers coming out?

I'm just wondering if it is known that within 6-12 months a lot of new companies will be entering the EVDO market, or if current EVDO companies will come out with newer products.

Spending $300 on a router may be worth it now, but if I know that waiting 3 months will drop this in half (or that a newer/better product will be available) then I would force myself to wait.

There are always newer products coming out.

The question is if you can afford to wait or if you cannot.

The prices of routers are lower then they were a year ago and a year before that. I would suspect that "router field" will look different next year.

But that is just a guess.
