I have bought a EVDO connection, with Huawei EC360 modem. As I mentioned before, I bought the ENE CB-1410Q adapter (which was installed in some branded mini pc or something).

I have tried 3 different drivers for this adapter, but it always detects my EVDO modem as "NEC PCI to USB root hub" or something.

I will be returning this and getting a new one from another shop, I asked him about the chip on telephone, he said something like Ricoh RFC475, but I have looked and it appears that "RFC" part has to be something else, so not sure which exact model it will be. I will try to get him to agree that if I can't get it to work with my modem, he'll return or exchange.

It appears that the carad was in fact Elan P111, which is a very popular and universal PCI-PCMCIA adapter. Even Vodafone offers it officially.

I downloaded the drivers from Elan website, and did a fresh install of everything, and now everything works like a charm.
