Howdy Y'all,
This is not necessarily a problem for me but I just happened to notice it. My connection will disconnect after 12 hours of being online. This seems to be fairly standard. I just happened to be looking at the computer with my 5750 in it and I noticed it was getting close to being connected for 12 hours. I have had a theory lately that it will disconnect at certain times. Sure enough, as soon as it hit 12 hours, I was disconnected.
I am not sure where the disconnect is originating from though. It could be the AccessLink software, a timer on the card, or a timer on the tower. My first guess is it is built into the AccessLink software since it disconnected exactly at 12 hours.
I use Alltel's EVDO as my home internet connection, and my wife uses it a lot during the day without disconnecting it.
Again, this is not really a problem, but more of an FYI.
Laters Y'all. |

| Can anyone who has this happening to them skip using the AccessLink software and just use DUN to see if it's software related or network related. This appears to be becoming more and more prevalent. I only use my PC5740 card in the KR1 and never have this happen. |

Is it only the PC5750 cards?
Am I using the AccessLink while in the router?
To use DUN is that like tethering a cell? |

| I'm using the PC5750 with a d-link dir-450 router without the 12 hour disconnect, or any since disabling the wireless lan. |

| I don't use any special Axcess software. I simply put the PC5750 in the Linksys router and like clockwork, the connection dies every 12 hours. I would even care if it would reconnect on it's own but having to go in and reboot the router to fix this issue every 12 hrs is a huge pain in the a$$. |

There has to be a common denominator some of us have the issue while others do not |

Wow!
This IS curious.
I have a KPC650 in a D-Link router and don't disconnect after 12 hours.

I"m having the same problem.
PC5750 on IPCOP, lastest firmware from Alltel.
'
Not a huge problem for me, I can set IPCOP to automatically reconnect on line drop. It is bothersome thou, b/c it cuts off my downloads sometimes. |

I have whatever the latest firmware is from Alltel's website. I can't recall exactly though.
I am curious if changing the setting from a mobile IP will affect this. I might try it soon if my wife will let me play with the connection. |

| Contacted UTStarcom. Their response was the PC5750 isn't made to be used in a router, laptop only so they will not provide support of a product that is being used in a non-approved way. Talk about passing the buck... |
