I installed the new Kyocera KPC680 card on Friday and it had some issues, ie: no power to the card. On it's own, it worked properly and Sat night the card worked great, but suddenly stopped. No power to card and computer doesn't detect the card at all and of course, no internet. Updated BIOS and ran diagnostics. No change. When I plug the card in, it's not detected, it's not listed in the device manager and there is no power to the card (LED is off). The card is not bad, as this happened 2 weeks ago with different card.

Any ideas? Waiting on call from Dell Techs, but wanted to seek info. as I am on a 15 day trial with the Alltel card...it's useless if the expresscard slot is inoperable.

ETA: I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 with Windows Vista Home

Sounds like a flaky card slot on your Dell.

If possible, try the card on another computer to be sure it is not fried and try another card on your Dell to make sure it is not a compatibility issue of some sort vs a real hardware issue on the Dell.

Are you installing just express card or using PCMCA adapter?
