Looks like the $25 per month home and $30 per month for mobile is an introductory price. After six months the price will goto $35 and $45 respectively. The $50 combo deal will eventually elevate to $65 per month if you don't get in early.

4Ginfo.com has created an easy set of steps so that you can activate your XOHM modem in other areas that have un-announced XOHM coverage, such as Philly and Chicago!

Check out the article on 4Ginfo.com for details and start XOHM-ing!

XOHM Close To Crossing The Goal Line In Chicago
Quote:
"We're very close to crossing the goal line here in Chicago," said Fred Wright, senior vice president, Motorola Home & Networks Mobility. "Our collaboration with XOHM shows that wireless broadband with fully mobile capability is a reality and will offer consumers untethered Internet access that will spur all kinds of new service innovations."
Motorola passed XOHM's rigorous technology acceptance tests and nearly 600 Motorola WiMAX base stations are on the air and ready for commercial service.

Is there a direct link to purchase the hardware online? I was able to find a way to list physical stores, but only in the B'more area itself. Even for $80 I'm not sure I want to trek up there just to check out the coverage area for an unlaunched service. Wink

LOL, thanks Alex, that was so fast I looked at the site again and the only way I can find to get to the page you sent was to click the service options, while the "Where can I buy XOHM Products?" points to the locater I was able to find.

Is there any Xohm presence in KC yet? Maybe just the HQ area?

Very cool. You need to get 4gmaps.com started up so that unannounced areas can be shared.

Xohm presents in KC = Not that I know about.

I am planning a trip to the Chicago area this month. It would be cool if I could connect to the Xohm network.

I know there were several cities in Ohio that were planned to be launched; anyone willing to check out those areas?

Now that WiMAX has gone live and there is more news on all things 4G every day, we would like to encourage everyone to join us over at 4G Forums to continue this great XOHM discussion!

The 4G Forums will be used for communicating about everything 4G, from WiMAX coverage to modems to accessories (like antennas - hopefully available in the near future!) and of course LTE.

If you're a registered member of EVDOforums, you are automatically registered for 4Gforums - so head over and keep the discussion rolling!

Don't forget to check out our official 4G site: 4Ginfo.com
