Ok #1. will any usb capable router work with the Ovation 720? Or do I need a specifc EVDO one?
2. Should I use NDIS? Will it give me better performace/latency or should I use the SCM? I have a new laptop so what would you guys/gals use?
Thanks! |

1. You need an EVDO specific router to work with an EVDO modem.
2. In general, NDIS mode will not give you better dl/ul speeds or latency. In fact, some here have reported slightly worse latency in NDIS mode. I tend to prefer using Windows DUN when using EVDO directly on a computer. Works fine and allows the connection to be shared without having a WIndows session logged in. I used this when I had my U720 EVDO modem in my server. It's now in my DLink DIR-450 router.

| You won't get any better bandwidth, and you can tack on about 20 ms of latency, if not more. |
