I had a pantech PX-500 and could do internet connection sharing hooking my laptop into my home network.

With the U720 I cannot seem to get it to work. It always wants me to disable my ethernet connection so the U720 can connect to the internet.

Please help if you know how to do this.

Thanks

I've had similar problems. On my laptop, I can easily turn off the onboard NIC, connect to Sprint, and re-enable the onboard NIC.

Now I've built a cheap-PC(*) to put in an upstairs closet (near my outdoor antenna) that will share the Sprint connection to the computers downstairs through a wireless router (and the wired LAN of the router). I didn't plan on putting a keyboard/monitor on it, since I can use VNC to view it from downstairs.

BUT

I can't disable the onboard NIC of the new box, since that turns off my VNC connection, and thus my ability to see its desktop remotely.
I had everything working until I re-booted the cheap-PC; then it wouldn't connect to Sprint.

I'll be experimenting with it until I solve the problem. Meanwhile, I'd love to hear other advice/comments.

I got it all to work
disabled DCHP in the router
used OpenDns for the sprint modem dns
used dialer from windows instead of connection manager
and walia it works and my wife working at home is happy with 3 computers wired into the router (now a switch) and one laptop using wireless from the router and all the computers see each other and have about 400-1000 down depending on times and 200-600 up
