The WWAN menu by Apple for Sprint lists its version as 1.04.

The Software Update worked just fine with Mac.n.Touch's drivers and if I recall worked ok in the first version of Apple's WWAN menu but broke in 1.03 or 1.04. Every other download, say via Safari, works ok.

Perhaps the OS update that provided the new WWAN menu closed a port that is needed by Software Update.

There is an option under Preferences: Sharing: Advanced... to block UDP traffic and I think Software Update uses UDP. Is it possible that unclicking this checkbox will allow Software Update to work? I tried but no new software for me. Maybe someone who just got rejected can try unchecking that and see if that solves the problem.

It doesn't. Just wait for 10.5 to be released.
