Sprint is looking into a specific HA issue, SO, if you have this happen OR have had this happen, please record your IP Address.

If you had it happen and haven't changed your HA, please report your current IP and indicate it is working, BUT previously didn't. This will allow Sprint to see your HA. Or for extra credit, post your HA that you are using.

When I was having my 'disconnect' issue, I cycled through a bunch of different endpoint subnets (where my PPP address was assigned) and several HA's. I know I hit this on several different HA settings, Primarily the KC (area 2) and Chicago (area 4) (68.28.89.76 and 68.28.145.76/68.28.153.76) HA's. Changing IP's (reconnecting) ever minute or so, I would hit one of the 'port 80 blocked' connections about once every 1-2 hours. At peak times, however, it would hit them much more frequently.

I've had this happen before, but it was probably a good 3 to 4 weeks ago. Connected fine, good signal, couldn't browse at all unless i reconnected (could ping fine). Reoccurred several times throughout the day but eventually cleared up. I'm on the Roachdale, IN HA's

For windows, at a command prompt, type 'ipconfig /all'

It will be one of the interfaces displayed, hopefully it will be obvious. (I don't know how it's labeled off the top of my head).

I wasn't sure at the time how to check the IP when the issue was occurring, but I can provide the addresses that "did" work - perhaps you can use this as a cross comparison.

Functional Working IP's -

Using Indiana 76 HA -
68.29.136.104
68.31.86.141
68.29.242.114
70.9.138.97

Using Indana 77 HA (secondary as primary) -
68.31.165.45
68.31.148.149
70.9.182.19
68.31.44.32

Using Kansas 89.76 HA -
70.13.75.53
70.13.233.252
70.13.173.74
70.13.230.106

This has happened to me several times lately although not today. My IP according to http://MyIPAddress.com is 70.3.188.251. In ipconfig/all it shows the KR1's address. That's what threw me.

Ah. Router.

Okay. Do it the hard way...

Open a command prompt.

type 'ftp ftp.microsoft.com' (no quote marks)

Username: ftp
Password: <your email address>

type 'debug'
type 'dir'

You'll see a line like "---> PORT XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX,YY,YYY", where the 'XXX's and 'YYY's are numbers, separated by commas.

The 4 groups of XXX's are your IP address. (The last two groups are port numbers, if you're curious)

From what I've seen, ftp should work, even when port 80 is blocked.

For Windows, you can find your IP address in the Connection Manager under the Device Diag screen then click on System Info. Scroll down the System Parameters until you find the IP Address for your card.

Another way is to run from command line.
c:> arp -a

Will be the number after the "Interface:"

Of course using a router means I don't have access to SCM.

the command you entered above returns an "-a is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." message.

I was blocked again, caught the address -
70.13.143.218 using
DNS servers at 68.28.146.11 and 68.28.154.11

An hour and a half ago I had a -73 signal, now my system has no bars and is stuck on 1xRTT. It has slowly degraded worse and worse. PC's in the same physical position, nothing's changed. I'm also now experiencing red flashes from the card every so often. The first time I shut it down and pulled it out - and it was quite hot under the white label on the bottom.

Here's a picture for signal proof -

Update -
It figures after I post it changes... not sure if Sprint just fixed it or not.
The signal just went back to roughly what I was receiving before.

New image -

Update 2 -
Whatever they did, ask them to do it again. This is with a different CM and a -80 signal. Seems fixed for me.

To Find the IP Address on a Mac, simply open the connection manager. If the WWAN menu is showing, you can select it there.
