I've got a Novatel Merlin EX720 EVDO Rev A PC Card Express.
When I plug it in I get this in /var/log/messages (or dmesg):
[ 165.856000] usb 5-1.3: new full speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
[ 165.948000] usb 5-1.3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
lsmod shows no usbserial. modprobing it before or after plugging in the card makes no difference
Any ideas?? _________________ Wayne |

| Don't you need Linux drivers to make the virtual serial ports show up? You would if it's not built into the kernel, because it's just a USB device internally. The Win and Mac drivers create virtual serial ports for the modem, control port, gps, and diag. |

| Nevermind, I looked into usbserial and it looks like it makes generic usb devices show up as serial ports. Is this correct? Has anyone gotten linux to work with the EX720 card using usbserial? |
