Probably not a good idea. Your trunk is likely to be a pretty good Faraday cage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday_cage). The card and amp would be fine, just not the antenna. Unless you have a nice fiberglass 'vette that is. That would be (more than) OK!

another thing to keep in mind is that the omni is designed to operate perpendicular to the earth.
put a booster antenna on a window thats tinted or dark and nobody will see it. or use a magmount antenna so there is no permanent mount. |

| Is there a smaller antenna that could be mounted on the trunk, maybe one that is less than 6" tall, but still able to be in the right frequency ranges of EVDO and Rev A (if they are different)? |
