BlackBerry 8830 Returning US, No Email - SOLUTION

Last week I was in Canada and the BlackBerry 8830 worked great in Halifax and St. Johns (Roamed fine on Rogers EVDO).

Now, here was the problem with my Sprint BlackBerry 8830. When returning to New York (which worked the week before), the BB8830 would not receive any email. I knew there was email to be received, but I couldn't send/receive email and the browser didn't work, even though the phone and other TCP/IP applications did work. So, only email/web (which goes through the blackberry proxy) was NOT working. I turned the Blackberry 8830 off and on a bunch of times and it would NOT send or receive email.

I finally found the solution.

Pop the cover on the BlackBerry 8830, pull out the battery, wait 5 seconds, put the battery back in the BB8830 and turn it on. It took an extra few minutes to turn on, BUT then everything started working and emails poured in.

So, if your BlackBerry 8830 is not sending or receiving emails (and you recently returned to the country), try pulling the BB8830 battery.
