I'm not a fan of edge and I wish they had 3g in the iphone and tethering via bluetooth 2 to my macbookpro but this is a start.

Bottom line is someone wrote a SOCKS proxy server for the iPhone. This is very different than how tethering works for most mobile phones and introduces all the nasty stuff that any SOCKS proxy introduces.

But, it is amazing that something like this has been done in such a short amount of time.
