I know you can share it but I want to set it up as an actual Access Point or make it appear to be an actuall Wireless roughter with an SSID etc..
Is there any software that can do this?
I work on computers, I want to be able to bring mobile Internet to all the poor fools with dial up so I can do all the updates and stuff. It would also be cool to advertize a mobile WiFi Hotspot.
I bought an Ambulance, it has 110. I bought a PCI to PC card adapter, a Dlink PCI WIreless card that is A and B wifi but I set it to only B so I can use the Hawking WiFI booster and I am using an external antenna and I am using V620 with external antenna. Yes, I will be putting in a big screen TV and PS2 and the computer I am using also has a good video card sot the kids will have all kind of fun! (I am just a big kid ya KNOW!)
Thank you in advance! |

When you share your connection, you appear to look just like an access point from the other computers.
You can wait for a Kyocera KR1 router, build a StompBox or buy a more expensive router to accomplish the same thing/ _________________ EVDO :: EVDO News :: EVDO Antennas :: Buy Verizon :: Buy Sprint :: EVDO Amplifier |

Thank you.
About the router... Why not have an "all in one" Media Center edition to watch movies, play games, share the internet, surf the Internet, and maybe use it for just a little bit of work too?
I put 2 extra batteries in it so with a total of 4, it is a mobile office and play place.
It is like a little mini RV-Tech Van that is a tax write off and a driveing billboard. It all started with my www.911pcfix.com concept and theme.
Yes, I will be proud!
Thank you all for this forum and knowledge. You are the best!
Now if I could just get Verizon to get some dam coverage up here in 95682! I can only get on with the slow 14.4 network that charges by the min! I think I will have to switch to Sprint and pay a bunch of money!
I set up the Sprint one up here for a client and it was getting 115 KB so I think it is faster too. In a year or two, Verison may give coverage, but for now, I can not even activate up here.. I had to drive 20 min just to do that and even then, I was stuck with 5KB!
Thanks again.. |
