Pantech Px-500 vs. Novatel U720

I saw two laptops running side by side, one with a PX-500, one with a U720. The px-500 was getting 900k, the U720 was getting around 2400k! These tests were run at speedtest.net from the Los Angeles area on the Sprint network.

Why is there such a difference in the speeds?

Is this type of performance typical for the U720?

What speeds are people getting in the LA area with the Pantech or Novatel (usb) cards?

Post the actual images from Speedtest.net. For example, see the bottom right of the window, it says "ISP:", see if the U720 said SprintPCS or a different ISP.
