In regards to a previous post,

the UT Starcom 5750 can work in the Rev A networks and it will operate faster than in traditional EVDO areas, but the only true Rev A that we (Alltel) carry is the Kyocera KPC680 Express Card.

Huh? Not real sure what you mean here. A card will either work at Rev A speeds or it won't. If it's a Rev 0 card it will NOT exceed Rev 0 speeds. An EVDO Rev 0 card will run on 1xrtt and EVDO Rev 0 networks.

If it's a Rev A card it will run on 1xrtt, EVDO Rev0 AND EVDO Rev A. It's pretty simple.

From everything I can gather the PC5750 is indeed Rev A capable. Not sure if it is out of the box or if it requires a firmware update but everything points to it being Rev A upgradeable at the very least.

I stand corrected Dave, the 5750 is not Rev A yet. The techs say that the PCII cards will not achieve the performance of the express cards in a rev A enviornment. That's all I mean. Rev A is Rev A but the PCII cards are a slower bus. The difference, I would imagine, will be minimal.
