For anyone that orders the Top Global MB6800 from 3Gstore.com, we will automatically include a CD with the latest firmware.

The latest version of the MB6800 firmware is 1.1.2

Quote:
Here is the change log for the V1.1.2 Version.

1. support USB modem.
2. support RCM.
3. support port range in portforwarding.
4. support DMZ

FYI, the "supporting USB modem", does not charge the battery of the 595U.

Hello,

Apparently, there is an update to the MB6800 firmware that was recently released.

Customers that receive the first two batches, had firmware version 112_4.

Top Global has released MB6800 firmware 112_5.

Starting today, all MB6800s that we ship will have 112_5 on a CD that we will add. If you previously purchased your MB6800 from 3Gstore.com, please send an email to support at 3Gstore.com requesting a download link for 112_5 (include your 3Gstore invoice number for faster processing).

Does that mean the firmware on the CD is not yet installed in the MB6800 which I just received from you?

We noticed that the MB6800s had a later version than the CD that Top Global provided, so it you ever needed to re-install, you would actually be downgrading.

We burned a CD and included that latest. You don't need it, it is only for backup and that gives you the latest version.

Michael,

thanks, I didn't see any where to verify the rev of currently installed firmware, without starting down the firmware upgrade path, which I didn't want to explore until more familiar.

The whole team at 3Gstore have been great to work with. I really like this MB6800 so far. No problems getting it up and connected with my Verizon AC595. I still need to do more testing, but I seem to get lower speeds through the router connection vs with the AC595 directly in my laptop. Not sure if thats to be expected. It didnt seem to matter whether it was via wireless or wired LAN. Any feedback on which MB6800 option/security settings may effect through put speed?

Click on the "Home" link near the top right corner (next to the "Reboot" link), and on that screen, in the third row of the table, you'll see a row entitled "Firmware Version". Mine says "v1.1.2-5", next line "Built on May 6 2007 11:23:30", which I think is the latest.

At this point the MB6800 already has the latest firmware installed. The CD that we provided to you from 3Gstore.com is solely used as a backup in case you have a problem with your router. Just file the CD in safe place - no need for it now.
