I noticed Sierra 595 has GPS support. I would like to write some nautical software for the PC which leverages the GPS on the device. I have some of the details worked out, but need access to lower level GPS functions. I didn't see any in the SDK provided by Sierra.

Does anyone know where I can get the SDK to talk to the devices GPS engine?

What about other cards? I know Novatel has GPS support through some of thier cards as well. U720. I have not downloaded thier SDK yet. Do they support it?

Any other GPS devices, I am looking at Garmin too.

Maybe we can help. 3GStore recently introduced our GPS Module for the KR1 EVDO Router. It has proven to be quite popular.

What do you want this "nautical software" to do? Is there something similar that already exists?

I am not sure why I need the KR1. Can't I just plug the device into the USB of my laptop? Where can I get the SDK for your device?

Also I am looking to target multiple devices. For my Prof of concept I am really hoping to use the Sierra Card. Has anyone seen the API's for GPS?

Garmin just released thiers this week, but some of my features would require data connectivity ( Lakes not Oceans )

Thanks for your Help
