I didn't see any posts on this topic so I Thought I'd pass this along.
I was having problems accessing my iTunes shared libraries via my new KR1 with the latest firmware(1.010) with other pcs/macs on my network. Until I disabled the multicast streams option (it was enabled by default) in the misc section of the router. After doing that and restarting router/pc's etc, I was able to access the shared libraries....
Maybe someone could shed some light option in the FW. iTunes shares used to "just work" on my old Linksys... |

I was at a loss all day...I restored my PC because I figured this was a dumb WinXP problem after I couldn't get iTunes sharing working with all firewalls off on the mac and PC, and Bonjour Browser on the mac saw the itunes share from the mac, but not the PC.
Your post above saved me...I was looking for everything in the router settings (after I finally took the router out of the equation and everyting worked again--thus narrowing down the source of the problem to being the KR1).
I have no idea about this multicast option on the KR1, but it hoses iTunes Sharing, and ZeroConfig/Bonjour/Rendezvous communication on the LAN side.

| iTunes couldn't "see" my airport express to stream music to my living room stereo until I disabled multicast either. Thanks! (previously I was able to access it by turning on the wireless Airport on my Mac which connected to it that way -- but I didn't like the impurity of doing it that way). |
