Every time that I open the Sprint wireless window so that I can connect, my sound card gets disabled. I go to device manager and enable the card and all is well until I close the Sprint window and reopen it. Anyone else have this problem?? I searched it and found nothing. BTW...I have a dell dimension 4400 desktop, never any trouble until the U720/Sprint was plugged in. Thanks.

I had the same problem. The U720 seems to share the same IRQ as some sound cards. If I plugged the modem into certain USB's it would disable the sound. For myself, I had 2 sound cards anyway, so I just took out the one and ran the onboard, that fixed the problem. If you have enough USB's you can try using another 2. If you feel daring enough you can change the IRQ's yourself.

Thanks, I should have posted back as I resolved the problem a while back. I tried different 2.0usb ports and it had no effect but my computer had 2 old 1.1usb ports that I didn't try because I was thinking that I wanted the higher speed port. However, the transfer rate on the 1.1 ports is still higher than any speed that I would get with the U720, so I plugged the modem into the slow usb ports and all is well since then.

Also, this had no effect on my down and up speeds, I still get about 800 down and 200 up.....same as I did on the 2.0 ports.

Thanks, Bubble
