I've had my KR1 for almost two weeks now, and I've been searching for the perfect case to carry the router, 12V cord, AC adapter, and Socket battery pack and cable. I've looked everywhere, checking out all the DVD player bags, small laptop cases, etc. What I wanted was a slim-fit case that would allow me to open the top flap and use the router in the case, that way I can move between two cars and home and work.

Well, I found the perfect case yesterday...it's a Case Logic (model TDVK9), found it at Target for $24.99. It's a black leather and nylon combo, with brown trim on the inside. The size is perfect, almost as if they used a KR1 to design it. The width, length, depth...everything fits great.

Kyocera could buy this and put it's logo on it, and no one would think anything of it. What is nice is that it lays flat in a horizontal position, and it has a shelf that the router sits on perfectly. Under the shelf I can store all of my accessories, plus a little extra. The router shelf has a removable, adjustable strap that can be used to secure the router, if needed. The whole case is very well padded, plus it has detachable straps that can be used to suspend the case between two seats. I took off all the straps, hooks etc...I just want a plain, padded case...

Anyways, hopefully this info is useful for someone out there looking for a carrying case...

The model you linked is *almost* identical to the one I posted. Mine is definitely a TDVK9, according to the tag. Maybe it is a special model for Target?

The one you linked has the dual-headphone jack on the front, mine does not. Otherwise, they're identical. I'm glad mine doesn't have the jacks, no use for them anyways...

Thanks Orbitalcomp for the info on the carrying case. I went to Target and got one this afternoon. It was a TDVK9. Since we travel by RV all summer it will be perfect for the KR1 when moving it around.
Thanks too to Pismo for the link

Glad to help, Bob...looks like we have the same setup now Smile

Cool use for the KR1, by the way - RV'ing around the country...

I wouldn't run it much with the case all closed up... It tends to get warm. Not sure how it handles the heat.. but can't imagine that it helps the KR1 much.

Thanks for the tip though! I've been looking for something to transport with!
