This might sound like a strange question, but....
I'm actually wondering if anyone knows how you can aggregate multiple cell links into a single pipe. So if I have a channel that's 100 kbps and another one that's 200 kbps, can I combine it into a 300 kbps channel? I know that it's possible but I'm having a hard time understanding exactly how to implement it.
I imagine it'd be some cell phones/evdo cards hooked into a labtop (via bluetooth, usb, pcmcia) and some software on the labtop that reorders packets coming in from the multiple links.
Any info would be greatly appreciated |

Search Google for:
Linux Connection Bonding
You will find lots of technical information that will point you in the right direction. |
However, unless you use a special proxy at the far end of the link (beyond verizon) to bond the channels, the maximum throughput on a single tcp/ip connection will still be the same as the maximum throughput on one channel.
Your aggregate throughput would increase, however, over multiple connections.
