|
|
Greetings all,
I was wondering what type of connector the U720 takes for the external antenna. I have an antenna I want to try out and I would think it would be easy to crimp a new connector to the end that will fit the antenna port.
Am I correct in assuming it is an FME male?
Thanks

Is it possible to find the correct connector? Will I need to order an entire new cable?

You usually just use a short (6 inches or so) adapter cable to convert from you main antenna cable to the U720. If you order from our hosts here (3GStore), the can sell you the adpater cable with the antenna package. They know exactly which one is needed.

You will need to purchase an FME female crimp for the cable that is on your antenna. Once you have the end crimped on your cable you will need the 20” RF adapter to go from the FME to the U720 Data Card.
Make sure that the antenna that you currently have is a dual band 850-1900 MHz.
Using an antenna that is not designed for Cellular/PCS can damage your device. |
