I just purchased the outdoor omni antenna and it works great. To mount it outside I am going to need 20-25 feet of cable. From my satellite days I have a roll of RG6 quad shield with solid copper wire. Can this be used without to much signal loss?? If it can be used, how can it be converted to the FME connector that the antenna uses? Thanks for everything. bubble
You should probably not use RG6. It is a 75ohm cable.
Although I am not certain what the impedance of the EVDO cards are, every transmitter/receiver I have ever seen has always been 50 ohms, *except* TV/Satellite recivers.
An impedance mismatch with degrade the signal quality.
