Any ideas why I keep getting a PORT Already OPEN? or Modem Not configured Error?

Dell Laitude D-600
Verizon V620
SIGNAL Test, 92% Connected CDMA = ok
Modem Test UNDER, control Panel = OK
Wireless SITES show up under VZAccess = OK.

but click connect and I get:

Error 633: the modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not configured properly.

WHAT?

Thanks

There seem to be a lot of problems with other Dell Laitude's on this page:

Sierra Wireless PC5220 / AC580 Compatibility Issues

Have you called Verizon Data Tech Support @ 866-788-9387, to see if there are any known problems?

Please post here what Tech Support tells you.

I get the same error on my IBM T40 with the Kyocera KPC650. No clue why it happens, but if I restart the machine then I am fine. Kind of annoying, though.

Thought for sure, someone would have had this problemo fixed by now.. or seen it.. or "tweaked" it...

Tried the shutdown/restart thingy... thanks for that info kymburley.. didn't work...

If you go into Modems and Test, Query = OK.
If you use the "Activation = OK
If you check the "Signal-Connect" = 98% OK..

ALL is OK, until you say, connect...

funny...
