Phone as Modem ONLY plan available at Sprint?

Hi all,

I've been looking at the various options at Sprint for mobile broadband, and I was wondering if they would allow me to get a Blackberry purely to use as a tethered modem and to browse data when not connected to the laptop. The idea is that I can still access my email with the Blackberry, but also be able to attach it to my laptop for use as a tethered modem. I already have an existing voice contract with another provider which I don't want to give up at the moment (due to termination fees, having to switch my wife's phone as well if I change mine etc etc)
