I have had evdo for about three months, and a couple of weeks ago Rev A was activated in my area. Along with the change came download speeds cut in half, from 1.2 down, to about 500 down. Upload speeds increased to around 400 kbps. Then, four days ago, download speed dropped to around 100kbps, with some tests at 25 - 40 kbps down. Upload speeds still are around 400. It appears to have settled at 90 - 100 down, and 375 - 400 up. Signal strenght is -77 dBm, connecting with EVDO Rev A, latest SCM in use. I have two machines, one Vista, one XP, same results on each machine. TS said "delete software, reinstall, call back tomorrow, do it again, create ticket, create another ticket, wait 72 hours, etc...
So, does this sound like a network issue, or has the U720 gone bad? |

| There have been previous reports of prolonged problems in a specific area which turned out to be attributable to cellsite problems. Have you tried using the U720 in different areas? |

| TS said there have been no other reports of outage, I think I am the only one in the area using an EVDO modem, and no, I'm not really able to test awywhere else, I don't have a laptop. |

your plight sounds eerily similar to a customer of ours:

how about going to visit a friend to test your device far away from your tower?
all you would need is software and your u720? |

| You could also rent a notebook for a day and try it out on that if there no other options available to you. |

| Well, it's been a month. Still suffering from the same issues. Last speed test, which was ten minutes ago, resulted in 321 down, 366 up (Rev A). I thought satellite internet was bad, this is ridiculous. If I had it to do over, I would never go with Sprint. It was a big mistake. |

| You didn't mention in your post if you tried it in a different location. |
